JESUS HOUSE

Jesus House is a vibrant ministry made up of diverse groups of people from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Our common bond is a faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

Jesus House for all the nations was founded in April 1994 as a church plant of Freedom Hall, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lagos, Nigeria. The RCCG was founded in 1952 and is led by Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer, with a membership of over a million people worldwide.
Jesus House started as a prayer group of between ten and twenty people who met regularly under the leadership of the parent church, Freedom Hall.

The first services were held at the Warner Brothers cinema in Leicester Square, London, with an approximate attendance of 200. Between 1995 and 1996 the church worshipped at different locations across Central London until, in 1996, we acquired the use of a large 40,000 square foot warehouse in North Acton. Jesus House operated from there and the congregation strength grew to over 800 regular attendees.

In October 2000 the entire warehouse complex was sold to developers and we had to leave North Acton rather suddenly. For the next year we became a "church on the move" as we rented various venues across London to hold our services.
In December 2001, we moved into the Regent Banqueting Suite at Finchley, North London and the church ran its administrative offices in Willesden, North West London. Having left a 40,000 square warehouse, the church had to cope with considerably smaller premises. Within a short amount of time we had no choice but to start two extra services to manage the church growth. In January 2003, we purchased the building.

As the church grew, our Finchley premises became too small to meet our needs and in April 2004 we moved into Brent Terrace, at Brent Cross, North London.
Today Jesus House has more than 1500 in attendance at it's weekend services and is still growing rapidly. Over the last year, our charity has built a community support centre in Grahame Park, Colindale North London, hosted several events focused on showcasing youth talent – inadvertently taking youths off the streets by channelling their energies towards more constructive endeavours. The charity also developed an educational training programme, ACES, for 3 of the local schools amongst other initiatives. All of these initiatives are focused on helping both youth and adults alike discover purpose and maximize their potentials in life.

The charity also provides strong career and educational support to many young people both informally and formally.
